Publications Clear Vision Trust, The (Buddhist) The new Clear Vision catalogue will be out in January, featuring new products including a DVD pack for 8-14 year-olds, "Buddhist Pilgrimage: An Indian Spiritual Journey", and a CD of stilling exercises for the classroom. www.clear-vision.org Association of Christian Teachers: new DVD package called Exodus 20 designed for KS3. It includes a feature length DVD film, 10 short films on each of the Ten commandments, a CD Rom containing over 100 pages of information, plus lessons plans/worksheets. Board of Deputies of British Jews: Jewish Way of Life CD Rom, which will be made available to schools free of charge. RE Today: Examples of entries to RE in Art competition for young people on the theme of “What is God” SHAP: the 2007 edition of the Pictorial Calendar is now available along with a special edition of the Shap Journal on 'Human rights and responsibilities'. Projects AREIAC is working on a set of standards for inspectors of RE. Churches National Adviser on FE have a project to better meet the spiritual needs of students in FE. It is run in collaboration with the BHA and other faiths, and funded by the Learning & Skills Council. Organisational news Culham: A National Centre for RE Plans to convert a church in central London as a meeting base and space for RE nationally are now at the £7m fund raising stage. National Association of Teachers of RE: PCFRE is changing its name from 1 January; the new acronym will be NATRE RE Today: has appointed Denise Brogan as a new RE Adviser |
