The Toledo Guiding Principles on Teaching about Religions and Beliefs in Public Schools were launched in Madrid on 28 November 2007.

They were written in response to requests from the UN and other inter-governmental bodies to facilitate teaching about religions and beliefs in order to promote tolerance and understanding. They are published by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
