Runnymede Trust Right to divide: faith schools and community cohesion

The REC welcomes the report's conclusion about the key importance of RE for community cohesion and its recommendation that a broad-based RE should occupy a core position in the curriculum of each primary and secondary school within the whole of the maintained system of education. Every young person deserves the quality of RE which will help them develop an enriched and discerning conscience.
