"AREIAC is the professional association for RE inspectors, advisers and consultants. It provides support for its members through an annual conference, regular newsletters and regional group meetings. It has published guidance on inspection issues in RE and (with NASACRE) a guide to Agreed Syllabuses in England and Wales. AREIAC liaises regularly with the DfES, QCA and the TTA on RE related issues.

Help is available to teachers indirectly through publications and more directly through the FAQ section of the AREIAC website. A key aspect of members' work is leading INSET with teachers, creating and developing schemes of work and advising on resources. The majority of members are LEA inspectors and advisers and diocesan staff who work closely with teachers."
