Consultation on proposed RE qualification Print E-mail

The National Open College Network is exploring the potential demand for a suite of qualifications which would encompass: Religious Education (including philosophy and ethics); Citizenship and aspects of PSHEE, that would be an alternative to GCSE.

These qualifications would be designed to be suitable for students from any faith tradition or none.

NOCN is inviting representatives from Institutions and Organisations involved with Religious Education/Religious Studies; Citizenship; and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE) to comment on these proposals by the end of November 2011.

To see an outline of the proposed qualification, click here. For the consultation response form, click here.

The NOCN would welcome your feedback and comments to inform the potential demand for such a qualification.
